Tom Holland on why he sometimes Googles girlfriend Zendaya

What was the last thing Tom Holland Googling? Well… his girlfriend Zendaya Actually.

The Spider Man actor, who has been in a relationship with the Euphoria star since 2021, recently revealed on Samah Dadas On the menu podcast that he will sometimes Google Zendaya to “check up” on her.

“The last thing I Googled was actually Zendaya,” Holland admitted while promoting his new non-alcoholic beverage brand Bero. “I’m not on (social media) and I delete it when I’m not using it.”

The busy room continued, “So sometimes it’s more of a bit of a scary thing, but I’ll check to make sure everything’s okay and just make sure we’re all cool.” So I just give her a little Google and watch the news, and I think, ‘She’s good. We’re doing well.’”

The couple met while filming in 2017 Spider-Man: Homecomingin which Holland plays the titular superhero and Zendaya plays his love interest, MJ. They each reprized their characters for 2019 Spider-Man: Far From Home and 2021 Spider-Man: No way homeand will return for Spider Man 4 that is currently under development.

Over the years, the couple has kept their relationship private. Holland said The Hollywood Reporter last year: “Our relationship is something we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep it as sacred as possible. We don’t think we owe this to anyone, it’s our thing and it has nothing to do with our career.”

And it’s a feeling that the Challengers actress also thinks the same narrate Elle magazine last year about her relationship with the Netherlands: “Parts of my life, I accept, will become public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But I also have control over what I want to share. It’s about protecting the peace and owning it, but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun either. I am navigating it now more than ever.”
