American Pickers Face Cancellation Rumors

History Channel’s long-running series American Pickers is facing more cancellation rumors. The show dropped in the ratings. The constant disruption of schedules does more harm than good. Keep reading to find out more.

The fate of American pickers revealed

According to a new report, American Pickers has been picked up for three more seasons. The History Channel series aired season 25 and is currently filming season 26.

The series is no longer the History Channel’s flagship series. That doesn’t mean the network is giving up, despite low ratings.

Mike Wolfe stars in the series alongside his colleagues Robbie Wolfe and Danielle Colby. In season 25, Jon Szalay joined the cast as “JerseyJon.”

He’s there to spice things up and offer a little humor. He was chosen after fans claimed the series was “boring” without former actor Frank Fritz.

Everyone is returning for season 26. The cast is already back on the road filming the upcoming season. An insider shared the news with The US Sun.

“They are filming, they are coming back from Louisiana. They’re filming for season 26 and they’ve signed on for three more years. the source told the outlet.

The American Pickers have had their ups and downs. It faced a ratings rollercoaster throughout season 25. The lowest episode to date took place on Valentine’s Day.

The show attracted 774,000 viewers. The highest-rated episode was on January 24, when the show attracted 948,000 viewers.

History Channel – Faces Cancellation Rumors

For years, American Pickers has been plagued with cancellation rumors. There have been mixed reviews of seasons that do not feature the original actor, Frank Fritz.

He last appeared on the series in 2020. History Channel fired him from the series in 2021 after recovering from back surgery.

Frank distanced himself from the show and from co-host and former friend, Mike Wolfe. During this time, Frank turned his life around and went to rehab for alcohol addiction.

He faced another health challenge when he suffered a serious stroke. Frank is currently recovering in an assisted living facility.

Meanwhile, fans have been complaining about the new seasons of American Pickers.

Many threatened to boycott the show, which led to a drop in ratings. Some fans took to the show’s Facebook page to speculate about the show’s future.

“Excited for the new episodes” wrote one fan.
