14-year-old killed in ATV crash in Crawford County Saturday evening

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP – A 14-year-old boy was killed Saturday evening after a crash involving an All-Terrain-Vehicle, according to a news release from Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent.

The teen’s name was not released at the time of publication.

The incident occurred at 7:12 p.m. when the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5550 State Route 96, in Liberty Township, in reference to a report of an ATV accident.

According to Kent’s press release, it involved a side-by-side car that had rolled over, throwing away two occupants. Two passengers of the ATV suffered minor injuries.

The 14-year-old male driver was treated at the scene for serious injuries by Liberty Township Fire Department, Life First EMS and Med-Flight medics.

The 14-year-old male was transported by Life First EMS to Bucyrus Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
