New Edinburgh Black Sheep Coffee announces city center opening date

A new cafe is opening in Haymarket as part of a major expansion.

Black Sheep Coffee will open in Haymarket on May 14, making it the company’s seventh cafe in Edinburgh. To celebrate, customers will be able to buy a coffee for just £1 on the first day.

The new Haymarket Square location will serve everything from coffees and refreshing smoothies to an indulgent selection of pastries and waffles to locals and visitors.

With large white letters on a wood-effect background, the new cafe is a must-see in the center of Haymarket. Inside, neon letters are visible above the leather seats and cabins.

It comes as Black Sheep Coffee opened 90 stores across the UK, including 40 in 2023 alone, and Edinburgh saw a wave of them pop up in the city centre.

Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth commented on the launch: “We are very excited to launch our new Black Sheep Coffee location in Edinburgh and create another coffee haven for those who dare to be different. With Edinburgh’s rich culture of creativity, we think it’s a great new place to open up.
