Ashley Vega explains why Lisa Marie Varon’s role as Tara in TNA greatly inspired her

Ashley Vega details her love for Victoria (aka Tara).

As a young wrestling fan, Ashley Vega was heavily inspired by the WWE Divas era, particularly Trish Stratus, Mickie James and Victoria. After Victoria left WWE in 2009, Vega followed her transformation into Tara, a spider in TNA Wrestling. It was during this time that Vega’s admiration for Tara/Victoria grew even deeper.

“I feel like her run in TNA is something I remember the most because she had obviously left WWE and it was just kind of like she wasn’t finished, but she had finished. So it was very confusing. And I just like to wish that he was given more in that moment. But to see her come back to TNA and then have these incredible, incredible matches with Mickie (James), Gail (Kim), ODB, all the matches and storylines that she had, it felt like she had progressed,” said Vega. WrestleZone Ella Jay. “She took Tara to a different level.”

“I’m afraid of spiders, and I just thought it was so badass to hang out with this huge tarantula. It terrified me, but I just remember thinking, “Oh, this is so badass.” » …It was so cool. I just thought she was incredibly impressive. And a lot of the moves I do are inspired by her. So I draw a lot of inspiration from her. His run in TNA stands out so much to me. She is one of the GOATs (greatest of all time).

Tara’s career in TNA Wrestling spanned four years, beginning with her explosive arrival in May 2009. In the years that followed, Tara won five reigns as TNA Knockouts Champion before leaving the promotion in 2013.
