Cancellation required by private schools, retest possible?

Cancellation required by private schools, retest possible?

At a recent press conference, Haider Ali, Director of All Sindh Private Schools, expressed serious concerns over the conduct of the matriculation board exams in Karachi. He demanded the cancellation and resumption of all exams held so far.

Ali pointed out that the exams, in which more than 350,000 students participated, were marred by mismanagement. He criticized exam administrators for their failure to effectively oversee the process. Lack of proper monitoring at examination centers has further aggravated the problem.

Highlighting the plight of the students, Ali questioned the legitimacy of the examination process. He drew attention to the fact that students are forced to take their exams in the open and on sidewalks. He asked a critical question: “Is this how the ninth and tenth grade exams are conducted across Pakistan?”

Ali demanded immediate action to remedy the situation. He called for the exam administrator to be fired, citing the mental and physical distress caused to students. He suggested that all exams conducted so far should be canceled and resumed after a gap of 10-15 days.

The future of millions of children hangs in the balance as authorities tackle these problems. The call for action by the chairman of all private schools in Sindh highlights the urgent need for reform in the examination process.
