Maoist Center announces public demonstration and warning rally in Kathmandu on October 26

The CPN (Maoist Center) announced a public demonstration and an alert rally in Kathmandu on October 26th. The Maoist Center stated that the rally, to be held on Exhibition Road, aims to protest against the government’s mistakes and draw attention to urgent action that needs to be taken.

Addressing a joint meeting of the Bagmati province, Special Provincial Coordination Committee and various affiliated mass organizations at the party office in Paris, Danda, party president and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal informed that the Decision to hold the warning rally was taken by the party central office. He also instructed all committees to prepare for the event.

The Maoist Center expressed concern over the government’s alleged insensitivity, irresponsibility and lack of planning in disaster management, particularly in addressing issues such as searching for the missing, distributing humanitarian aid, treating the injured and building temporary shelters.

Furthermore, the party plans to use the rally to highlight problems in reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts, as well as to combat conspiracies and corruption that undermine the good governance campaign initiated by the previous Maoist-led government.
