Aisling Bea introduced her new baby to her famous friends in a hilarious social media post from the Irish comedian.

The Irish star shocked fans when she revealed she was pregnant on stage at the Big Slick Kansas City event in June, having kept things under wraps until her third trimester.

The comedian then announced the birth of her first child with a hilarious Trip Advisor-style pregnancy review in August.

Now Aisling has shared a series of images of her baby bump with several of her famous friends from various walks of life.

Instead of showing the baby’s face, Aisling placed a potato on the newborn’s face as a genius way to maintain her privacy from a young age.

Leading the series of photos in Aisling’s post were comedians Nish Kumar, who Aisling competed with on Taskmaster in 2017, and The Good Place’s Jason Mantzoukas.

Also seen in the photos were TV writer Brona C. Titley and actor Kadiff Kirwan, who previously starred alongside Aisling and Sharon Horgan on the popular show This Way Up.

In a heartwarming photo, Deadpool star Rob Delaney can be seen gazing in wonder at Aisling’s adorable baby. Rob previously wrote a book about the impact of losing his two-year-old son Henry to brain cancer on his 41st birthday.

Speaking on ITV talk show Lorraine, Aisling recently opened up about her decision to keep her pregnancy to herself for so long.

She explained: ”I was trying to keep it a secret. And I got away with it for a while with one of those annoying kids… It’s like keeping something a little precious that’s private and getting your head on straight.

‘There was a huge competition all over the world and I discovered that my baby is really the best thing in the world.

‘And it was actually only voted on by me and my boyfriend. But yes, we are very pleased with the award.
