DiGiorno brings back Thanksgiving pizza with turkey and cranberry topping

Why cook a whole spread for Thanksgiving when you can taste all of your Turkey Day favorites in one bite?

DiGiorno, for another year, is selling his famous Thanksgiving pizza with all the trimmings – green beans, dressing, cheese, onions, cranberries and, of course, turkey – on top of a Detroit-style pizza crust.

The $10 frozen pie will be available exclusively at Kroger stores through the end of November.

In 2023, DiGiorno debuted the limited-edition pizza, sparking controversy online over appropriate toppings as the Turkey Day spread seemed to become more controversial than pineapple.

On the Today Show, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager tested the concoction live on air, while a cautious Hager said she was “not sure if Thanksgiving and pizza need to go together.”

“From Thanksgiving feasts to Turkey Day tables, we’re excited to offer a bold new way to enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving spread,” Kimberly Holowiak, senior brand manager at DiGiorno, told Food and Wine in a communicated last year.

“Our passion is pizza and we are always looking for unique ways to infuse DiGiorno’s fresh flavor into moments of celebration – even the most traditional holiday dinners.”

But this isn’t the first Thanksgiving-flavored food prepared in recent years.

Last year, Baskin-Robbins released an ice cream flavor called Turkey Day Fixin’s, and Pringles sold Thanksgiving-inspired potato chips a few years earlier.

A 2019 survey found that Americans crave an alternative to turkey on Thanksgiving. At the time, 64% of respondents said they would be open to changing the main dish, and 30% have already done so, with some participants regretting the time-consuming preparation and cooking, while others wanted to eliminate the stress.
