AgSouth Farm Credit Announces 2024 Board of Directors and Nominating Committee Results

AgSouth Farm Credit recently announced the results of its 2024 Board of Directors election, with new leaders set to serve starting October 23, and a runoff scheduled for Region 7, Place 3, between two Georgia candidates.

CEO of AgSouth Farm Credit Vance Dalton announced the winners of the 2024 Board of Directors and Nominating Committee election.

AgSouth Farm Credit is a member-owned cooperative and depends on its members to help build the leadership that serves them. Open seats for Directors and the Nominating Committee are voted on by eligible shareholders during the Annual Meeting.

This year’s Annual Meeting was held on September 4, 2024, in Braselton, Georgia. Eligible shareholders were able to submit their ballot by mail or online. (For more information about AgSouth’s election process, visit www.agsouthfc.com.)

The results of the 2024 director election are as follows:

  • Region 1, Seat 2 – Tina Gross (Sanford, NC)
  • Region 4, Seat 3 – Leslie Sparks (Sparta, NC)
  • Region 6, Seat 2 – William Robinson (St. Matthews, SC)

Terms are effective October 23, 2024.

There will be a runoff for Region 7, Place 3, due to neither candidate receiving a majority of votes in accordance with Section 410.6 of the AgSouth Bylaws. The runoff is being held between Jonathan Mann (Surrency, GA) and Kenneth Bennett (Blackshear, GA).

All voting shareholders on the election registration date will be able to vote in the second round. All votes must be received by November 29, 2024.
