BUNNLEVEL, North Carolina — The state of North Carolina is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case of a Harnett County man shot to death in his car.

Around 1 a.m. on May 7, 2023, deputies with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sanderfer Road in Bunnlevel.

EMS and deputies found Daniel Williams dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Gov. Roy Cooper on Thursday offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for Williams’ death.
