Nikki Glaser Reacts to Tom Brady’s Regrets Over Netflix Roast

Nikki Glaser said during a recent interview on “Today With Hoda & Jenna” that it’s clear that Tom Brady “may not have considered his family’s reaction and how it would affect them” when he signed up to get roasted in a live-action comedy on Netflix. event. Brady admitted as much, saying on “The Pivot Podcast” that he probably wouldn’t do another roast because of how the jokes affected his children. Glaser was widely considered one of the best comedians to roast Brady at the event.

“I also think Tom Brady doesn’t do anything without doing his research and knowing exactly what he’s getting into,” Glaser said, questioning how much Brady knew what he was getting into.

“There’s no way to me that he didn’t think about what could have happened because there’s roasted footage that you can look at and say, ‘They’re going to go so hard,'” Glaser added. “But there’s a part of me that thinks Tom Brady, especially given his career and how much people love him, no one has ever said a bad thing to him in the last 30 years, so he doesn’t know not what anyone is capable of going there.

Glaser was one of several comedians who roasted Brady over his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, who began a relationship with his jiu-jitsu instructor after her marriage ended.

“Tom Brady. Five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns,” Glaser joked during the roast. “You have seven rings – well eight, now that Gisèle has given hers back. The only thing dumber than saying yes to that roast was when you said, ‘Hey baby, you should try jiu-jitsu.’

Although Brady didn’t specify on “The Pivot Podcast” which jokes upset his children, many viewers assume they were the ones aimed at his relationship with Bündchen. The NFL icon has three children, a son with Bridget Moynahan and a son and daughter with Bündchen.

“I liked when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way they affected my kids,” Brady admitted on the podcast. “That’s the hardest part of… like the bittersweet aspect when you do something that you think is one way and all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of how it affected the people I care about most in the world.

“It makes you, in some ways, a better parent going through this,” Brady continued. “Sometimes you are naive. You don’t know…I’m going to be a better parent as I move forward because of this. At the same time, I’m happy that everyone who was there had a good time. If we don’t laugh, we cry.

During a post-roast interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Glaser revealed that some of the roast jokes she had planned for Brady were cut from her set. One of the jokes was about Brady’s alleged plastic surgery.
