AAH: Keep the message alive

AAH by planeWASHINGTON – AAHomecare is calling on stakeholders to play a “force multiplier” role in the more than 140 meetings held Wednesday with lawmakers and their staffs on the need to expand Medicare’s blended reimbursement rates to 75/ 25 in non-rural areas.

The meetings took place as part of a fly-in tour hosted by AAHomecare and attended by nearly 60 industry leaders.

“The message is simple: Ask your Senators and Representatives to speak to the leaders of their respective chambers in support of extending Medicare 75/25 blended rates for DME in non-rural areas through 2024 as soon as possible” , declared the association. “You should emphasize that the reductions have already taken effect and explain how they affect your ability to support your patients. »

The 75/25 blended rates expired on January 1, 2024.

On Wednesday, AAHomecare once again prioritized engagement with legislators on jurisdictional committees on health care financing issues, resulting in 35 meetings with committee members. Energy and Commerce and House Ways and Means, as well as 15 meetings with lawmakers on the Senate Finance Committee.
