State police car crashes into another car and a tree during the chase

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A New York State Police car crashed into another car and then a tree during a chase on the city’s southwest side on Sunday.

According to state police, the officer was driving on Thurston Road, pursuing a car with a stolen license plate, when the officer crashed a car traveling on Chili Avenue. The impact caused the officer’s car to crash into a tree. A third car was also involved in the accident.

The car the officer was chasing fled the scene. The officer and a person in the second car were taken to hospital. No one in the third car was injured. The officer was slightly injured and the person in the second car had complaints of pain.
