Flight canceled: flight canceled after problem and flyers protest |  Kolkata News

Kolkata: SpiceJet flight SG 3779, which was scheduled to take off from Kolkata to Tezpur on Thursday around 11:30 am, was canceled after its air conditioning (AC) system malfunctioned. Eighty-two passengers and four crew members on board the plane sweated for several minutes after a technical problem hit the plane shortly before takeoff. The plane had to return to the parking lot. The engineers failed to get the air conditioner working in two hours. Passengers protested at the airport after being disembarked and sent back to the terminal. The airline refunded the value of some passengers’ tickets and sent others to Tezpur on separate flights, an airline spokesperson said.
