“But he got there kind of strange,” Colbert said as he filmed footage of the event in North Carolina.

“I will sign a law banning child sexual mutilation in all 50 states, that will no longer happen, and we will proudly say ‘Merry Christmas’ again,” Trump said.

Colbert imitated a car going off the road.

“It’s a rough transition,” he said.

But it wasn’t the most disturbing clip from a Trump rally this week, as Colbert spotted a moment in which the former president urged his supporters to vote “in a very disturbing way.”

In the next video, Trump imagined winning the election.

“Can you imagine?” the former president said, then made a sound and facial expression that Colbert found more than a little off-putting.

“Usually when you see him making that face he cuts you a check for $130,000,” he said, referring to the hush money Trump paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about her allegations of an affair to preserve.
