MTN: the 3i Africa Summit gave us a platform to share our growth strategy

Telecommunications company MTN said it attended the just concluded 3i Africa Summit to share its strategy and products based on how it intends to evolve and drive growth in the fintech and telecommunications sector.

Speaking on the sidelines of the three-day summit, Abdul Razak Ali, head of business relations at Mobile Money Limited, said the forum provided an opportunity for MTN to also showcase what it intends to do as a platform provider .

“We believe that as a leading fintech and telecommunications provider in Ghana, it was really important that we put our weight behind our regulator to be able to drive the digital agenda in Ghana.”

“We felt that the event which was in its inaugural stages and basically the platform provided was worthy of us coming here to share our plans or our strategy and our products in terms of how we want to evolve and shake up the fintech and telecommunications sector. Before.”

“To be able to capitalize on this event, we thought it was important to do our best and bring in our industry experts to share their knowledge beyond MTN and Mobile Money. We came with our agents , CEO Stephen Blewett, MML CE Shaibu Haruna…” he said.

The summit was themed “Unlocking Africa’s potential in financial technology and the digital economy”.

It brought together key players in finance, investment, political regulation and digital technology in Africa, including three heads of state, 10 central bank governors in Africa and beyond, including Dr. Ernest Addison of the Bank of Ghana, the chairman of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Dr Olayemi Michael Cardoso and John Rwangombwa of the National Bank of Rwanda.

Attendees participated in more than 15 sessions with speakers and speakers contributing to more than 60 topics aimed at finding the paths that generate the most traction in the drive to generate momentum and achieve progress.
