Man dead after car crash and rollover in Fresno County

A 32-year-old man died early Sunday morning after a crash in Fresno County, CHP Fresno said.

According to CHP, the communications center received a report of an injury crash on McKinley Avenue, just east of Blythe Avenue, just after 3 a.m.

CHP and EMS officers responded.

An initial CHP investigation shows the man was driving an Alfa Romeo eastbound on McKinley, just east of Blythe, when he caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway to the right.

The vehicle struck several brick pillars, a wrought iron fence and a chain link fence, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, sustaining serious injuries.

The driver died at the scene of the accident.

CHP says it is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in this crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
