Fight outside Houston Denny’s ends with women followed, shot: police

An argument outside a Denny’s in Houston led to an incident that spanned several miles and left three women shot, police say.

Police say the incident allegedly started outside the restaurant along I-45, where the women, who got into an Uber, were involved in a verbal confrontation with the suspects.

At one point, one of the suspects fired a shot into the air and the Uber driver drove away with the women, police say.

Authorities say the suspect followed them to another location, where a suspect shot at their vehicle and then left.

The Uber driver then took the women to a gas station in the 20400 block of Kuykendahl Road near Eagle Bend Drive. They stopped Harris County Pct. 4 officers for help.

Police said the three women were injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital. They were last reported to be in stable condition. The Uber driver was not injured.

The suspects may have been two Hispanic men and a Hispanic woman, police said. They are believed to be 18–23 years old. Authorities say they were dressed in Halloween costumes, with two dressed as Harris County inmates. They were reportedly in a white sedan.

The investigation into the shooting continues.
