◇ Anchor> The issue of sending North Korean troops must be of utmost importance to us, but isn’t there such a story that the North Korean army is about to be sent to the front of the battlefield? Amid this, the Ukrainian military is said to have armed the North Korean army in Russia with 60mm mortars and night vision goggles. What kind of weapon is this 60mm mortar?

◆Kim Yeol-soo> When we say po, in common sense we think that there is a short-term po and a long-term po. Then, to put it simply, we call it an ICBM, an intercontinental ballistic missile. This means that the range is 15,000 km. Then I reduce the number of points. If you look at it, there are about 30 people at platoon level, and if I have to destroy the enemy, the opponent that comes 2 km or 3 km before my platoon level, I need that kind of weapon. That’s what a gun with a range of 2-3 km is called a 60 mm mortar. And anything more than that is called an 81mm mortar in Korea, and this 81mm mortar is mainly owned by infantry units. And if you go further, 105mm, 155mm, 152mm, these are all from the artillery unit. So I can tell you that 60mm mortars are mainly used to prevent platoon-level enemies from approaching 2 to 3 kilometers away.

◇ Anchor> In this sense, if the North Korean army is armed with 60mm mortars, as Ukraine claims, there is a possibility that they will be used in small-scale battles and small-scale battles. However, in the midst of all this, a close associate of Russian President Putin said that World War III could break out as a result of American intervention. We talked about the US presidential election earlier, but what will be the impact of the war depending on the results of the presidential election?

◆Kim Yeol-soo> I think there could be an impact on the war. And now the Russian official talking about World War III was blackmail and a threat. In other words: do not intervene in the United States, NATO or Europe. But I think Europe and the United States are all looking at November 5th. And in the worst case, the presidential election results will be announced for more than ten days, but if the results are announced quickly, the presidential election results could be announced in three to four days. So I think the United States, NATO and the European Union will decide how to control Russia and support Ukraine in this regard, based on the outcome of the presidential elections starting on November 11. NATO will therefore never intervene on behalf of the president. of NATO. The moment you intervene on behalf of NATO, as you just said, a Third World War could break out. However, individual countries can intervene. The reason is that in February this year, President Macron said five times that he would send 2,000 French troops to support Ukraine. But all I’m asking is to look at the presidential election results. So once this is over, the countries responsible for Europe, namely France, Britain, Germany and Italy, are very interested in the issue of sending troops and there is a possibility that they will support this. This is how you look at it. Even if the US does not send troops so far, it has prevented so-called long-range and long-range missiles from firing missiles that fall on Russia’s soil. It’s very likely they’ll release that part, so let’s look at it this way.
