New KTM 390 Adventure R photographed before EICMA – Here are new details – Bike News

The KTM 390 Adventure has been in the news for a while now and the spy shots, along with the leaked brochure, gave us more details about the motorcycle. Now the motorcycle has been clearly captured ahead of the EICMA unveiling. Although we know most of the details about the motorcycle, the photo shows small details that make it interesting.

New KTM 390 Adventure R — Latest details

The new KTM 390 Adventure R seems to have been spotted just before the official unveiling. The motorcycle looks sleeker compared to the current model and sport- a Dakar-inspired fairing, similar to the 890 Adventure R. The motorcycle gets a split LED headlight setup stacked on top of each other and the daytime running lights give the motorcycle a unique identity.

The motorcycle is seen with round mirrors, a white belly plate and what appears to be an aluminum bash plate. The motorcycle gets a one-piece seat with a slight step and a narrow rear section. The new KTM 390 Adventure is also seen with a front disc protector, something commonly seen on dirt bikes or hardcore adventure motorcycles to protect the rotor.

New KTM 390 Adventure R — What we know so far

In terms of what we know so far from the brochure leak, the KTM 390 Adventure R will get adjustable USD forks with 230mm travela monoshock at the rear, wire-spoke wheels, a 21-17 tire setup and a high seat that sits 885mm above the ground. The motorcycle will be based on the same platform as the new 390 Duke and also features an offset rear suspension and an underbelly exhaust.

The motorcycle will get updated electronic aids including traction control, power modes, cornering ABS and hopefully a quickshifter as standard. The instrumentation will consist of a TFT dashboard with phone connectivity and navigation. The motorcycle is also expected to get the same 399cc single-cylinder engine as the 390 Duke, which produces 45.3 hp.
