Photo: Locatelli sends cryptic message after omission from Italy squad

Manuel Locatelli was surprised to be left out of Italy’s Euro 2024 squad and posted a cryptic message on Instagram.

Italian CT Luciano Spalletti has abandoned his 30-man preliminary squad for Euro 2024, and one of the most surprising decisions was to leave Locatelli out. The Juventus midfielder has made four appearances under new Azzurri CT.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Locatelli was informed of Spalletti’s decision minutes before the team was publicly confirmed, and both he and Juventus were surprised.

The former Sassuolo midfielder posted a cryptic message a few minutes later the Azzurri team was officially confirmed.

It was just a simple Instagram dark story which Sky Sport correspondent Paolo Aghemo said could represent the midfielder’s mood.
