Greeley Public Works hosts ‘Meet the Fleet’ event Wednesday in Island Grove – Greeley Tribune

Several families got up close and personal with vehicles and equipment from the Department of Public Works, Greeley Police Department and Fire Department during Wednesday’s Meet the Fleet event at Island Grove Regional Park.

Greeley Human Resources Department staff were also on hand to talk about job opportunities and upcoming public works projects.

The event was part of National Public Works Week, which spans the third week of May each year. The American Public Works Association sponsors this week which aims to honor public works professionals, engineers, managers and employees.

This year’s theme was “improving the quality of life for all”.
