JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — The Rock County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Brian Kitzman, 39, was guilty of capturing and possessing images of Craig High School girls changing in the locker room for nearly 10 years.

Kitzman was found guilty of 6 counts of capturing an intimate depiction without consent (victim under 18), 12 counts of possessing an intimate depiction without consent (victim under 18 years) and invasion of privacy using surveillance devices (victim under 18 years old).

Police Chief David Moore said at a news conference a little more than a year ago that staff found a GoPro camera around 9:30 a.m. in a locker, hidden under a towel that a female student previously reported missing.

The camera was given to the school resource officer, who viewed the footage and arrested Brian Kitzman, 38, at 2 p.m. that day as he boarded a bus bound for of an athletics competition.

Police said Kitzman was seen in the footage placing the camera in the locker. Police also searched Kitzman’s home and found evidence there, Moore said.

On May 22, Kitzman was sentenced to 38 years in Wisconsin State Prison, consisting of 1 year of initial confinement followed by 1 year of extended supervision for each victim (19 counts). He will also remain on the sex offenders register for 15 years while he serves his sentence.
