Siouxland GO Announces Finalists for 14th Annual Innovation Marketplace

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Five business ideas have been named finalists for the 14th annual Innovation Marketplace.

Siouxland Growth Organization revealed the following list of proposed business concepts:

• Interactive museum
• Orbit Creator Space
• Sizzle & Syrup
• Wandering cart
• Worthlivin wines

The big reveal took place at Badgerow Flats in downtown Sioux City. Judges selected the finalists from a pool of 13 business ideas submitted for this year’s event.

“I actually talked to a girl before and she came up to me and she said, ‘I didn’t know this existed, I’m so excited, I’m going to apply next year,'” said Marisa Grove, President of Innovation Marketplace. . “I think this is a great example of that, it creates momentum in our community and lets people know that we are here and we support your business ideas.”

The five finalists will present their ideas and business plans during the presentation evening on June 27. They will compete for the grand prize of $5,000. The prize for second place is $2,500 and the prize for third is set at $1,000.
