Tom Selleck urges CBS to rethink canceling Blue Bloods

Actor Tom Selleck calls on CBS to rethink its decision to cancel the long-running series “Blue Bloods.” The veteran actor, who has played New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan for 14 years, recently expressed his feelings about the series’ abrupt ending.

In a recent interview with CBS, Selleck showed no signs of losing hope:

I will continue to think that CBS will come to its senseshe remarked with confidence. He highlighted the show’s significant success with viewers, stating: We are the third most scripted show in all of broadcasting. We win the evening. The whole cast wants to come back.

Highlighting his passion for the profession, Selleck added: You just go to work and do the work. And I have a lot of respect for what I call “work,” and I love it. And I would like to continue doing it.

Selleck, known for his starring role in “Magnum PI,” reflects on the evolution of television: Television has grown a lot. It’s a little more adult, which I think is a good thing. Selleck’s concerns extend beyond a love of acting. He owns a 63-acre ranch in Ventura County and admits: You know, I hope I continue to work hard enough to keep this place. While confident about his financial situation, Selleck said candidly: If I stopped working, yes. Am I ready for life? Yeah, but maybe not on a 63-acre ranch.
