Wheel of Fortune Contestant Goes Viral With Hilarious NSFW On-Air Mistake

Wheel of Fortune Contestant Tavaris Williams went viral after incorrectly shouting a very inappropriate guess at a puzzle.

Just minutes into the Thursday, May 24, episode, Williams, who was competing against two other contestants, made the unfortunate mistake.

As the puzzle letters began to appear quickly on the board, participants had to decipher the sentence using just a few characters.

Williams was too eager when he called and immediately guessed: “Right in the ass.” »

“What?” one of his fellow contestants asked in disbelief, followed by longtime host Pat Sajak, who replied, “No.”

Tavaris stood there with an “oops” expression on his face as the audience burst into laughter. Sajak quickly called on contestant Blake, who correctly responded: “He’s the best.” »

“Yeah, that’s it!” Sajak praised.

Later in the episode, when it came time for Sajak to introduce the contestants, he turned to Tavaris saying, “Well, Tavaris, you’ve already made an impression on us.”

“I apologize, Pat. I was a little excited,” Tavaris replied.

“We’ll find a way to handle this tastefully,” Sajak said, drawing more laughter from the audience. He continued, joking, “I have no idea what it’s going to be, but…”

The clip of the moment has since made the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, with several viewers calling the interaction “a Wheel of Fortune Hall of Fame moment.

“All time #WheelOfFortune moment here,” one person wrote. A second said: “This could have happened South Park.»

“Missed the goal,” another person said, adding a laughing emoji alongside a broken heart. The official X account of the American dictionary Merriam-Webster tweeted: “Yes, we saw the Wheel of Fortune clip, you can stop sending it to us.

Others noted that her NSFW guess wouldn’t have made it through mailboxes anyway. “Not even the right number of letters,” one noted.

“Must be that kind of Rite,” someone suggested, alongside a gif of the Rite Aid drugstore chain.

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air in the United States since 1975. Originally hosted by Chuck Woolery, the show is now hosted by Sajak who took over in 1981 and has presided over the popular game show ever since.

Last June, Sajak, 77, announced he would retire from his longtime position after 40 years. “I have decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he said at the time.

Its last episode airs on June 7. However, he will exercise his consulting functions for three years after his retirement, according to Deadline.

Ancient American idol host Ryan Seacrest will succeed Sajak, with its first season airing this fall.

Wheel of Fortune airs weekdays on ABC at 7:30 p.m.
