It’s probably like ten yards of satin and then a lot of tulle. THE MATERIAL TO MAKE THE DRESS COSTS NEARLY $300 FOR EACH PENNY. HILDRETH SAYS HER DESIGN WAS A SUCCESS AT THE PROM. And a lot of people knew I made my dress, but it was mostly my group of friends, so once everyone saw it, they were like, girl, how did you do that? I want to do this work to get to where I want to be,” Hildreth said.
