Joseph Puckett hits his brother-in-law and tells police he was helping him into their hotel room – Scoop: Nashville

Joseph Ronald Puckett, 37, got into a fight with his brother-in-law, Franklin Denison, at the Holston Hotel around midnight on May 18.^th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Denison, who had blood all over him, telling them he had fallen because he was “extremely drunk,” saying no fight had occurred. Then, when officers spoke with Puckett, he said he was helping Denison get to their hotel room. Officers noted that he had minor abrasions on his knuckles, consistent with a hit to something or someone. A witness told police he saw Puckett punch Denison several times in the elevator as the door opened. After arresting Puckett, they searched him and found two different Adderall pills in an unmarked pill bottle. Puckett was taken into custody on two counts of simple possession and assault on a family member. Franklin Denison was also arrested for the same incident that night.

Joseph R Puckett of Barber Street in Decaturville, Tennessee, was booked into the Nashville Metropolitan Jail on May 18 on domestic violence and drug charges. He is free on $3,000 bail.
