Dangerous driving caught on camera

National Highways has released alarming footage captured by Warwickshire Police to coincide with the launch of a new road safety initiative.

Drivers are seen eating fast food, using laptops and even putting on makeup in videos shot from unmarked heavy trucks.

A multi-agency “week of action” is planned on M6 in June, to combat dangerous driving behavior.

These drivers were arrested by officers participating in Operation Tramline, launched in 2015.

More than 46,150 offenses have been recorded to date. The most common are not wearing a seat belt (13,562) and using a cell phone (11,965).
