Cat Mom’s message to Senior Kitty’s previous family brings everyone to tears

Cat Mom’s message to Senior Kitty’s previous family brings everyone to tears

It takes a very special soul to take a senior pet into your home. In fact, a pet that needs just as much love and attention as a sick senior pet. Christina Ha recently adopted the sweetest older cat with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). And now she has a very special message for the cat’s former owners. No hard feelings here!

The poor cat is sick and needs a lot of love and care. But that didn’t stop Ha, who knew the cat still had so much love to give.

You can imagine that Ha would judge the cat’s former owner for surrendering the cat when he needed them most. But she didn’t.

“Maybe you fell in love with him long before people knew it FIV wasn’t a death sentence, and you decided those three letters didn’t define him,” she noted. “I don’t think you meant for this to happen to him. Your home health care brought him in because your health was deteriorating,” she added.

“Thank you for making the difficult choice to let someone take over,” she added.

It’s so obvious that Ha loves the little guy. People online cried at her kind words. “He looks like a beloved baby blanket. What a sweet boy,” one person wrote. “Absolutely sobbing, he deserves the whole world. Senior cats are so special,” someone else chimed in. “Vet here, this made me cry. Thank you for being non-judgmental and kind. He is a happy boy and it is obvious how much you love him,” another commenter chimed in. “Thank you for your empathy with the former owner,” someone else chimed in. “Your video provides some much-needed perspective on a sad situation.”

Caring for your FIV-positive cat

Cats with FIV can live a long life. But you have to give them some extra love and care.

The best thing you can do for your FIV positive cat Make sure they eat healthy and exercise enough. Make sure they visit the vet twice a year so that their immune status can also be checked. Any infections should be treated immediately and avoid feeding your cat a rare diet to avoid pathogens in these foods that can make your cat sick. You will also want to talk to your vet about developing a care plan.

Ha is just one of many pet owners who love and care for a sick pet every day. And we know she doesn’t regret her choice to love her oldest cat even a little.
