Bengaluru: SWR cancels Kalaburagi special train, adds more trains to Muzaffarpur, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur

SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi train cancellation: Cancellations will be effective between May 29 and June 27 for SMVT Bengaluru (train number 06261) departing for Kalaburagi. The train from Kalaburagi (train number 06262) to Bangalore will remain canceled between May 30 and June 28.

Bengaluru: The South Western Railway (SWR) has announced that the tri-weekly summer special express trains running between SMVT Bengaluru and Kalaburagi will be canceled due to certain operational constraints on the Central Railway (CR). Cancellations will be effective between May 29 and June 27 for SMVT Bengaluru (train number 06261) departing for Kalaburagi. The train from Kalaburagi (train number 06262) to Bangalore will remain canceled between May 30 and June 28.

Sharing the update, SWR tweeted, “South Western Railway has announced the cancellation of the tri-weekly Summer Special Express trains running between SMVT Bengaluru and Kalaburagi stations. »

Summer special trains to Muzaffarpur, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur

Muzaffarpur-Yeshwantpur: Meanwhile, the East Central Railway has launched additional summer special trains between Muzaffarpur and Yeshwantpur (Bangalore Urban) to avoid the additional rush of passengers during the holidays. Train number 05271 will leave Muzaffarpur at 3:30 p.m. on May 31 and arrive at Yeshwantpur station at 7 p.m. on June 2. Meanwhile, train number 05272 will leave Yeshwantpur at 7:30 am on June 3 and reach Muzaffarpur at noon on June 5.
SMVT Bangalore-Bhubaneswar: The South Western Railway will also operate summer special trains between SMVT Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar. Train number 06271 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 00:10 on May 31 and arrive in Bhubaneswar at 04:00 on June 1. Meanwhile, train number 06272 will depart from Bhubaneswar at 6:30 am on June 2 and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 9:00 am on June 3.
SMVT Bangalore-Sambalpur: Train number 06279 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 00:10 am on June 7 and arrive at Sambalpur at 05:00 am on June 8. Meanwhile, train number 06280 will depart from Sambalpur at 11:35 am on June 8 and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 7:30 am on June 9.
