Juvenile charged with three counts of assault after incident at Warren High School

VINCENT, Ohio (WTAP) – A young man has been charged with three counts of assault following an incident at Warren High School Tuesday night.

Police responded to the scene at 5:24 p.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The young man is a former student who was not allowed to enter school premises after being expelled from school recently.

While the football team was training, the young man began shouting at the coaches and disrupting training.

Several team coaches tried to calm the situation by talking to the young man.

During that time, the young man struck a trainer in the face and the other trainers attempted to grab him and hold him down, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

As soon as they let him up, he hit two other coaches too.

There is no active threat to the school community, according to Warren Local Schools Superintendent Kyle Newton.
