Three arrested after Rockford police recover guns and drugs

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Police are arresting three people from Rockford after officers reportedly found guns and three types of drugs during a search of the city.

Jason Bryant, 29, is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver ecstasy pills, possession with intent to deliver cannabis, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon , failure to have a valid FOID and an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery/mob action.

Enrique Dozal, 21, is charged with having a firearm with a defaced serial number, not having a valid FOID and an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery/mob action.

Aarionte Mahone, 27, is charged with aggravated battery/mafia assault.

According to the Rockford Police Department, officers and detectives searched homes in the 1800 block of Brownfield Road, 300 block of N. Horace Ave. on the morning of Oct. 31. and the 1600 block of 16th Street. Police say they found three weapons, one of which had a defaced serial number, more than 28 grams of cocaine, about half a pound of cannabis, scales, cash and more than 80 ecstasy pills.

According to court records, Bryant is expected to appear in court on Monday, November 4, while Dozal and Mahone will appear in court in early December.
