How to solve the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Survival Horror Silent Hill 2 Remake game takes you on an adventure full of puzzles and mysteries. The difficulty of the puzzles ranges from moderately easy to difficult, and the coin puzzle is one example.

The coin puzzle in the Wood Side Apartments in Silent Hill 2 focuses on obtaining the three coins needed to solve the main puzzle found in the lobby of the apartment building.

1. How to solve the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Players need to find three coins: the Man/Sword Coin, the Woman/Grave Coin, and the Flower/Snake Coin to solve the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake. Once they get the coins, they have to arrange them in a specific order in the coin cabinet based on the riddles provided.

There are three riddles and the solutions for each of them are given below-

• First riddle: The coin with the man will be on the left side, the coin with the flower on the right and the coin with the woman in the middle.

• Second puzzle: Place the Silver Man in the second hole from the left and turn to reveal the sword. Place the Golden Woman in the second hole from the right. Finally, place the Bronze Sunflower in the rightmost hole.

• Third puzzle: Place the Silver Man in the central hole. Place the Golden Tombstone in the second hole on the right. Place the Bronze Snake in the rightmost hole.

1.1 Rewards

Coin Puzzle rewards you with the Room 201 Key, which opens Room 201 in the Wood Side Apartments and gives access to the Blue Creek Apartments.

2. Location of all coins

2.1 Man/Sword Currency

To get the Man Coin, go to apartment 108 and find the Golden Apple Handle. Then, go to apartment 208, use the handle on a closet and move it to reveal a passage. Solve a puzzle in apartment 206 with the Right 13, Left 7, and Right 11 solutions to open the safe and get the Man/Sword Coin.

2.2 Woman/Grave Coin

After getting the Man/Sword Coin in Room 205, enter Room 205 to get the 2F Small Staircase Key on a chair. Next, unlock the stairway door next to room 215 and you’ll find a save point on the left wall.

On the third floor, go to Room 311 and go through a narrow opening to enter. Exit through a breakable wall to enter Room 309, then cross to Room 310. Cross to Room 312 via the balcony and crawl through a small opening behind the wall with an Ominous Note. Pick up the canned juice and interact with a nearby disposal chute.

Use the nearby staircase to descend to Wood Side Apartments 1F. The Woman Coin/Tomb is between Room 112 and Room 105 in the open area.

2.3 Flower/Snake Currency

After getting the Woman Coin, return to the hallway and go left to apartment 116. Watch a cutscene, find Eddie, and jump through the window to face the Lying Figure enemies in the pool area. Use your weapons and fall into the pool. Then check the red cart to find the Snake Coin.

3. About the Silent Hill 2 remake

Silent Hill 2 Remake is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami. The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on October 8, 2024.

It is a remake of the 2001 video game of the same name and will be the first major installment in the Silent Hill franchise since Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012.
