DCI arrests another suspect linked to the death of Wells Fargo boss Willis Ayieko: “Provided with transportation”

The Directorate for Criminal Investigations (DCI) has made significant progress unraveling the murder case of Willis Ayiekoan HR manager Wells Fargoby arresting an additional suspect.

Fredrick Otieno Omondi, a boda boda rider from Kisumuwas detained on suspicion of involvement in the events leading to Ayieko’s tragic death.

Detectives claim that Omondi played a crucial role in this transporting the first suspect, Victor Ouma Okothto the place where Ayieko was later kidnapped.

“Omondi, a motorcyclist, is said to have transported Victor Ouma, alias Sisco, to the location where Onyango was abducted. Victor Ouma Okoth is currently in police custody and has been linked to the crime along with his late brother. , Robert Wakolo Okoth, as well as other yet to be identified,” DCI said.

The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation, as authorities pursue multiple leads to fully understand the circumstances of the crime.

The main suspect in Ayieko’s murder had a criminal history

In a related twist, police received help from Wakolo’s father, who was instrumental in identifying his son and providing details about his true identity.

Wakolo, initially identified as George Oduor, reportedly gave false information in an attempt to evade authorities his body was later identified by his father at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Further investigation revealed that Wakolo was linked to several other criminal cases, including the murder of Grace AwinoAn M-Pesa agent in Kibuye.

Awino was reportedly killed during a violent robbery, putting a grim layer on the suspect’s criminal record.
