May 29 marked the 49th birthday of Halliwell-Horner’s former Spice Girls bandmate Mel B – real name Melanie Brown and known in the group as ‘Scary Spice’.

And posting to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, Geri shared a number of photos of the couple together and wished them a happy anniversary.

However, it seemed like there was something strange about the caption, which appeared to have been copied and pasted by her social media team.

“I sent Pippa some images and this wording asked her to edit them if necessary,” the original caption read, before then moving on to the birthday message: “Happy birthday @officialmelb! I hope You’re having a great day.”

Within 20 minutes, the caption was edited to remove the first line, but fans were quick to point out the error and are now using it to fuel rumors of a frosty relationship between the pair in recent years.
