Trains canceled between Exeter and Bristol due to cows on the track

Train services between Exeter and Bristol have been canceled after cows ended up on the main line leading from the southwest to London. GWR said services are now expected to be interrupted until at least 10am today (Saturday June 1) while animals are moved.

Cattle are on the tracks between Taunton and Tiverton Parkway with all lines blocked. The incident means all services between Exeter St David’s and London Paddington, via Taunton, are cancelled.

Services between Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter St David’s, also via Taunton, are also cancelled. GWR warned: “Rail services between Exeter St David’s and London Paddington via Taunton and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
