Attack with weapon

MILL HALL – Lamar State Police were called to an incident along Girard Street in Mill Hall Borough on Oct. 7 for reports of an assault with a weapon.

According to police, a 28-year-old woman from Lock Haven, while wielding a metal carabiner on her hand, struck a 31-year-old woman from Mill Hall, causing the blow to have a similar effect to someone using brass knuckles. the police said.

The victim was treated for head injuries at UPMC Lock Haven, police said.

The Lock Haven woman was charged through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office with assault with a deadly weapon.

Retail theft

MILL HALL – Charges have been filed against an 18-year-old Buffalo, N.Y., man for shoplifting after an incident at Walmart along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, on Oct. 6, Lamar State Police said.

Officers were dispatched to the store at 8:35 p.m. for reports of shoplifting involving $61.84 worth of assorted stolen items, police said.

The suit was filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Burglary

RENOVO – Lamar State Police were called to a home along Renovo Road in Noyes Township on Oct. 6 for reports of a burglary at the property.

The incident occurred between September 21 and October 6, when a back door was damaged, causing $100 in damage, and a box of shotgun shells valued at $20 was taken from the property, police said.

The investigation into the theft is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.

Theft of scrap metal

RENOVO – Lamar State Police are investigating the theft of scrap metal from a property along Ontario Avenue, Renovo Borough, that occurred between August 12 and September 4.

Copper metal pipes and wires were taken from the home of an abandoned home owned by a 48-year-old woman from Pottersdale, Pennsylvania, police said.

Domestic incident

LOCK HAVEN – An 8-year-old Lock Haven boy was injured Sept. 1 during a domestic dispute along Eagle Hollow Road, Gallagher Township, Lamar State Police said.

Officers were dispatched to the area at 11:45 a.m. for reports of a domestic incident where upon arrival it was discovered that a 32-year-old Lock Haven man grabbed a metal tree climbing boot attachment during a verbal argument and threw it away. behind him, police said.

The attachment struck an 8-year-old in the shoulder, causing injuries, police said.

The Lock Haven man was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.

Intimidation

MILL HALL – Lamar State Police received a report from a registered nurse at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital that a female patient, a 21-year-old from Mill Hall, was afraid to go home due to parental issues.

The call was reported on September 23 at 11:18 a.m., police said.

Intimidation

MILL HALL – At 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 2, state police in Lamar investigated a referral to a child hotline regarding harassment of an 11-year-old boy in Bald Eagle Township.

After an investigation, the incident was declared unfounded, police said.

Property found

MILL HALL – A tax refund check was found in the Sheetz parking lot on Hogan Boulevard on Oct. 9, police said.

One vehicle accident

BEECH CREEK – A 45-year-old Blanchard man was charged with accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle or property after a single-vehicle crash along Eagle Valley Road, Beech Creek Township on Aug. 25, according to Lamar State Police.

About 9:15 p.m., Jeremy D. Miller was driving west on the roadway when his 2018 Toyota Tundra crossed over the opposite lane onto the south shoulder and struck a pole with his driver’s side mirror, police said.

The vehicle continued, leaving the road on the south shoulder and entering a grassy area, where it struck a utility pole with its front passenger side, shearing it off — causing some residents to lose power, police said.

Miller’s vehicle drove about 100 feet into a soybean field before it was driven out of the field and back onto the roadway, leaving the scene without reporting any damage, police said.

Officers contacted Miller at his home on September 1, where he told police he was driving the Toyota at the time of the crash and believed he did not need to report it, police said.

Observations of the truck revealed damage consistent with the accident scene, police said.

Miller told police he struck a deer on the roadway, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, police said.

DUI charge

McELHATTAN – A 40-year-old Lock Haven man has been charged with driving under the influence following an incident along Railroad Lane, Wayne Township, on September 15, according to Lamar State Police.

At 11:39 p.m., police were called to the area for reports of a 2015 Nissan Rogue stuck on the train tracks in the area, police said.

Investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

The charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.

DUI alleged

MILL HALL – A 68-year-old Mill Hall man faces charges of driving under the influence after a traffic stop along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, on Sept. 30, Lamar State Police said.

Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata for a vehicle code violation.

During the stop, the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.

The incident is currently under investigation, police said.
