Baden-Baden Sunday card canceled

Baden-Baden Racecourse | Emma Berry

Baden-Baden’s 11-race program was abandoned on Sunday morning after areas of the Iffezheim venue were deemed unsafe for racing. Incessant downpours hit the track in the preceding days, and with new forecasts, course officials had no choice but to cancel.

Sunday’s events, the G2 Grosser Preis der Badischen Wirtschaft and the Listed Silberne Peitsche, have been postponed to other meetings. The Silberne Peitsche will now take place next Sunday, June 9, as part of a 10-race program in Hoppegarten. The Group 2 contest will take place as the G2 Grosser Wettstar Preis on the G2 Union-Rennen Cologne undercard on June 16.
