BLAIR, Neb. (WOWT) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash near Blair on Monday.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a passenger in the Ford Mustang convertible was killed in a three-vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 133 and County Road P26, a few miles south of Blair.

WCSO investigators say the Mustang was traveling eastbound on County Road P26 when it blew through the stop sign on Highway 133, striking a vehicle before being struck by a pickup truck.

The driver of the Mustang and the pickup were both taken to the hospital, while the passenger in the Mustang died at the scene. The driver of the third car involved was not injured.

The sheriff says he will release the name of the deceased victim once next of kin has been notified.
