Man seriously injured by gunfire at Minneapolis nightclub Sunday night

A man was seriously injured in a shooting at a Minneapolis nightclub on Sunday evening.

A spokesperson for the Minneapolis Police Department said off-duty officers were working at the Vanquish Nightclub for an event when they heard gunshots inside the club just before midnight.

Police found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare Hospital for treatment.

Officials say an initial investigation showed a fight escalated into gunfire. However, investigators are still working to learn more about what led to the shooting.

Police said a man was arrested at the scene on an unrelated charge. No arrests have been made in the shooting at this time.
