DIVORCE returns with new song “My Room” | News

DIVORCE have shared the full length of their new single ‘My Room’.

The group is busy taking power measurements and reconvenes with producer Catherine Marks for their final statement. Available now, “My Room” is billed as “an ode to unconditional love,” and it features soft vocals and some of the group’s most touching lyrics to date.

It’s all part of the band’s stellar rise, with the quartet set to tour the UK in full in October. Kicking off with a hometown tour, DIVORCE will play a sold-out show at Nottingham’s Bodega, with the tour finishing at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

Available now, “My Room” sparks another memorable summer for the quartet. Vocalist and bassist Tiger Cohen-Towell says…

“My Room” is an ode to unconditional love. These lyrics are truly some of the most emotionally vulnerable I think I’ve written to date; it speaks to a deep desire to be relaxed and show affection toward someone you know extremely well.

I think familiarity can be scary sometimes, and being truly seen can cause you to put up walls between yourself and the people you want to be closest to. We had a group of wonderful children singing on the last chorus, the children’s voices I think add both naivety and heaviness to the track. That really sums up the feeling we wanted to achieve with this song. It’s like being back in your childhood bedroom and crying without really knowing why. But it’s happy too!
