McGregor and Chandler were due to speak to the media last night in the Irishman’s hometown of Dublin.

But at 5 a.m. that morning, the press conference was shockingly canceled as the UFC apologized to fans.

They said they hope to provide a “new date and time” as soon as possible.

McGregor has now broken his silence on the news but did not reveal why the press conference was scrapped.

He said: “In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference has been canceled due to a series of obstacles beyond our control.

“I apologize to my Irish fans and those around the world for the inconvenience caused and appreciate all of your passion and support.

“I can’t wait to put on the greatest show of all time in the octagon.”

McGregor, who has not fought since losing to Dustin Poirier three years ago, has regularly been spotted partying ahead of his return.
