Flooding closes roads and schools in the eastern Ozarks

HOUSTON, Mo. (KY3) – More heavy rain led to flooding in the eastern Ozarks on Tuesday.

Several inches of rain closed roads in several provinces, forcing school administrators to close 40 schools.

Flooding at low tide crossings overnight led to several rescues in the Phelps County area. The Roubidoux Creek flowed over State Highway 17 in northern Texas County. Emergency responders are also reporting flooding in northern Arkansas.
