Police are investigating the morning shooting in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Just before 8 a.m. this morning, police were dispatched to the 300 block of WM Trotter Drive, near Western Avenue, in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Doctors arrived on the scene and provided medical aid to the injured person.

At this time, it remains unclear if the shot was accidental or if it was related to an attack. The Guardian has contacted Chillicothe police for more information about the incident. However, authorities have indicated that details are limited at this time and that the case is being actively investigated by detectives.
