Police are providing an update on two women who were hit by an SUV near ECU’s campus

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police say two people who were hit near ECU Monday evening are expected to survive.

Greenville police say two women, a 19 and a 20-year-old, were struck by an SUV on 10th Street near Anderson Street next to ECU’s campus around 7:45 p.m.

Police say one of the two women was expected to be discharged from ECU Health this morning. The other is in hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Police say the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative.

We’re told the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
