Former President Donald Trump shuts down CO;  Expected impacts on traffic

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Former President Donald Trump will visit Orange County on Saturday, June 8, and residents can expect road closures and traffic delays on Harbor Island in Newport as a result. Beach.

Bayside Drive, from Jamboree Road to Pacific Coast Highway, will be closed to motorists from 7 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, according to city officials.

Local residents will be able to access the road with proof of address, the city said.

There will be no parking on all of Harbor Island Road until approximately 3 p.m., the city said.

Residents of Beacon Bay, Harbor Island, Promontory Bay and Promontory Point will also be able to access their homes during the event via Pacific Coast Highway and Bayside Drive.

Access to the Linda Isle gated community will also be limited to those two roads, the city said.

The former president is in town as part of a fundraiser following his felony conviction last week. Tickets for the event range from $3,400 to attend the luncheon to $100,000.
