Elderly woman kidnapped and sexually assaulted in Ameerpet-Telangana Today

The victim, aged around 50, was waiting for a bus at the HiTec city bus stop when the trio approached her and asked her if she could wash clothes at their home.

Hyderabad: Three persons allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted a woman from a house in Madhuranagar, Ameerpet in the city on Monday evening.

The victim, aged around 50, was waiting for a bus at the HiTec city bus stop when the trio approached her and asked her if she could wash clothes at their home.

The woman agreed after they promised to pay her Rs. 500 for the job. The trio took the woman to their room in Om Nagar of Madhuranagar and locked her up.

“They sexually assaulted the victim and when she raised an alarm, the neighbor rushed to save her. The suspects escaped from the house,” said G Srinivas Varma.

Based on a complaint, a case is registered and the woman is sent for medical examination. Police are making efforts to arrest the suspects, who hail from Uttar Pradesh.
