NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The rain will continue tonight and continue through the rest of the week.

THROUGH THE MORNING:

Tonight it will remain fresh and mild. A few showers and a few thunderstorms moving in from the west. This rain will reach the Tennessee River by the evening drive, but will shift eastward and eventually reach Nashville around midnight. The low will be in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW UNTIL FRIDAY:

There are likely periods of rain on Wednesday. Some thunderstorms are expected. It won’t rain all Wednesday. The driest area will be southeastern Middle Tennessee. The wettest will be northwest Middle Tennessee. That’s where the largest precipitation totals are likely to be, about 2”. Other locations see .25” to .50”. The high will be in the mid-seventies.

Some of you will experience a steady rain shower on Thursday. Once again the high will be in the mid-seventies.

Friday looks partly sunny and dry for most. An insulated shower is possible. The peak will remain in the mid-1970s.

THIS WEEKEND:

This weekend there will be thick clouds and even more rain. Expect wet weather to arrive in Nashville late Saturday morning and continue into the afternoon, overnight and Sunday morning. Drying is likely Sunday afternoon.

Weekend temperatures will start in the low 50s and peak in the low and mid 70s.

NEXT WEEK:

Another system will attempt to bring showers back to the Midstate on Monday, with lows expected to be in the low 70s.

Tuesday looks dry for most. The peak reached the mid-1970s.

Wednesday will be unsettled again with more rain, while a sharp cold front pushes through.

It will get colder again from the end of next week. Next Friday morning there may be frost and frost for the first time in weeks. Stay informed!
